Flower Travelin Band

Here’s a band that was brought to my attention while getting my hair cut.
They were originally around in the 70’s and have resurfaced. It’s a bit like Black Sabbath and I think some similar sounds to the Queens of the Stoneage.

Random Blog

Heres a random extract from a blog I occassionaly visit.

This guy likes writing random notes to people that upset him on his daily commute.

Dear SUV Driver,

As I approached your door flew open and remained agape for what seemed like an eternity. I then passed and witnessed what I can only imagine will be the closest thing I’ll ever see to a live whale birth as you grasped each side of the door opening and attempted to extricate yourself from the vehicle. I thought perhaps you might be with child, however your gender leads me to rule that out. I pray that the vehicle eventually relinquished you from its handsomely-appointed interior and that you were not consigned to a Jonah-esque fate. I also suggest that in future you request a street closure in advance of your arrival so that you can flail and wriggle unmolested by traffic. Or at least consider some flares and cones.

Climbing Arapiles

After a full on week at work, heading to the mountains for a relaxing weekend of climbing was just what the doctor ordered.

The trip down on Friday was pretty quick with traffic being of a fairly normal level. The police however were out in force, it seem like every 15 minutes there was a cop car by the side of the road booking some motorist or heading in the opposite direction trying to earn there next revenue.

The pines camp ground was packed, as expected, with the normal colourful array or tents sprawled out beneath the trees. Its been something like three years since my last trip to Araps and I had forgotten how climbers are a bunch of hippy circus freaks. There was slack lines (tight ropes) setup everywhere and there always seemed to be someone juggling or playing hacky sack somewhere within the camp grounds.

After three years off the rock, the first day was spent doing some top roping on Deceleration Crag to remind the body and head what this climbing stuff is all about. Sunday we headed up to Bushrangers Bluff, a smaller climbing area away from the main Arapiles climbing walls. I hauled myself up two climbs on lead without too many dramas, surprisingly enough I managed to keep my head and didn’t even have any freak out moments.

Running rhino scores beer and chicks

Threadless comes though with the goods once again, delivering fame and fortune (in the form of beer).

My recent acquisition of the “Runnin’ Rhino” shirt brought much attention and smiles at my recent outing to the Micro Brewers Showcase down at federation square. At least half a dozen people had commented on how cool/cute I was… I mean the shirt was. One young lady so impressed she decided to hand over all her beer tasting vouchers, which was bloody fantastic given that I was running low.

The showcase was fairly similar to last year, most of the same familiar brewers plus some not so familiar such as 2 Brothers and Otway brewers.

There seemed to heaps more people at the event this time for some reason. I’m thinking it is because it is part of the Melbourne food and wine festival.

If you haven’t been following the Corey Delaney story then your missing out. It’s the funniest shit I have seen in ages. Must be a slow news week or something.
Heres an interview from A Current Affair.

Insult to injury

To add insult to injury, my site got hacked this week!

So I saved what was left of the blog after MD screwed up, but the gallery didn’t make it. I’ve re-uploaded most of it not, but what a freakin pain in the butt!
